What is All-Over Printing?

All-over or sublimation printing is a process where your design is printed on paper with dye ink and then transferred directly onto the fabric with heat. Sublimation lets you cover all of the garment with your design instead of, for example, direct-to-garment printing that has a smaller design area to work with.

Pranboo offers two types of products that are entirely printed:

Sublimated products. These products are pre-made, so your designs are transferred onto a ready-made product.

All-over print products (also referred to as cut & sew products). In this case, your designs are printed on fabric, which then gets cut and hand-sewn into the product you ordered.

How Are All-Over Print Product Designs Printed?

The designs are printed on transfer paper with sublimation inks. The transfer paper acts as a sponge that’s holding the ink until it’s sent to the heat press, where the designs are transferred to the fabric.

How Does Pranboo Control Sublimation Quality?

The sublimation process itself is really complex, which is why we have well-trained staff to overview each step of the production process.

When it comes to sublimation color quality, we print a wedge with color templates together with the design on the transfer paper. This helps us to measure the stability of the printing quality and check that the colors are exactly the same every time we’re printing them.
